Bodyguard was a consortium of New Zealand producers united under one brand to bring this technology to the U.S. and when that consortium disbanded, we introduced the ArmorCore™ brand name to continue to promote the product regardless of timber source.

ArmorCore™ has improved over time to include more advanced coatings. The primer is optimized for treated wood, and has greater flexibility from high silicate levels, and greater UV resistance from titanium dioxide, to provide a more durable undercoat for the life of the painting system. It’s designed to be able to remain exposed on a building site for up to 6 months before painting, and is ready to directly topcoat with any high quality exterior paint.
